"Slow Light" got a Vimeo Staff Pick! This one feels extra special.
When we first made a Vimeo account back in 2008, it quickly became our favorite corner of the internet—full of quality, weird, beautiful, inspiring work. And the holy grail? The Staff Pick badge. Every time we uploaded something, we secretly hoped it would get picked. It felt like a little nod from the cool kids saying, "Hey, you did good." Over the years, we’ve been lucky to receive five Staff Picks—and now "Slow Light" joins the club. We're very grateful, very happy, and a little bit emotional 🥲

WORKSHOP AT POCKET STUDIO IN TBILISI, GEORGIA

Last month we traveled to Tbilisi to conduct animation workshop at Pocket Studio. The workshop was a part of Social Design Days organized by Polish Graphic Design and Polish Institute in Georgia. It was focused on an analog technique we used for a music video we directed back in 2009 for a UK based band Oi Va Voi. It was the first music video we directed as Kijek/Adamski so it means a great deal to us.

Before the workshop, we gave a talk on the value of creative experimentation — and how analog approaches can offer a meaningful alternative to the growing wave of auto-generated content. It was a chance to reflect on how hands-on methods still have a place in today’s cloud-based, digital-first world.

We're back baby!

Wow! It’s hard to believe it’s been almost seven years since we last posted here. A lot has happened in that time—we worked on commercial projects, went through lockdown, worked on even more commercial projects, and created five episodes across two different series. But most importantly, we made a personal short animated film that, in a funny twist of fate, is all about a man who experiences everything with a seven-year delay. In "Slow Light", our protagonist’s eyes are so dense that it takes exactly seven years for light to pass through them. Fittingly, it has taken us just as long to post an update! The film has been selected for over a hundred festivals, picked up over thirty awards along the way, and is now available to watch online. We think the film’s premise is the perfect metaphor for our posting delay—so enjoy Slow Light, and check out the behind-the-scenes video to see what we’ve been up to all these years!

Here's a trailer of our latest animated short film "Debut". The film was produced by Studio Munka in their Młoda Animacja (Young Animation) program. You can watch it at short film festivals around the globe.

ŻUBROFFKA 2017 / POSTER

We are happy to share a poster that we recently worked on for 12th Żubroffka International Short Film Festival. The festival takes place during cold and snowy winter in Białystok, Poland and we wanted to reflect it in the imagery. All the screanings at Żubroffka are admission free for everyone so we hope to see you there!
